Rraining sessions within the project "Sustainable Local Development through Dialogue and Commitment"

In January 2023, we are launching the series of training sessions within the project Sustainable Local Development through Dialogue and Commitment, starting with the first course on Decisional transparency and interaction with local public administration.

The session will take place from 25th to 27th January, 2023, and will be conducted online via the Zoom platform. Aimed at members of non-governmental organizations in the Municipality of Aiud, the training session will cover topics such as current legislation regarding decisional transparency and access to information, concepts like citizen participation, public debate, and involvement in decision-making processes. Moreover, special emphasis will be on promoting principles regarding equal opportunities and sustainable development. In 2023, several training sessions will be organized within the project, on various topics of interest for civil society and social partners in the Municipality of Aiud and the Centre - regional development

The Romanian Association for Transparency | Transparency International Romania is implementing the project "Sustainable Local Development through Dialogue and Commitment" from August 2022 to September 2023, SIPOCA 947/MySMIS 151484.

The general objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of at least 40 NGOs and social partners to get involved in elaborating and promoting development at the local level, by developing and implementing mechanisms and procedures for interaction with local public authorities, as well as through specialized training and networking.

At the end of the project, following results are expected:

• A consultation mechanism at the local level called the Consultative Group for Local Development (CDL) developed within the project and implemented in partnership with the Aiud City Hall.
• At least 80 representatives of NGOs and social partners certified at the end of the training sessions.
• Two procedures for NGO interaction with local public authorities, developed.
• A guide as a tool for independently monitoring and evaluating of policies and strategies at the local level.

Total project value: 424,197.11 lei, of which 415,713.18 lei are total non-refundable funds.

"Sustainable Local Development through Dialogue and Commitment" is co-financed by the European Social Fund, through the Operational Program Administrative Capacity 2014-2020.
