Local Consultation Mechanism - Workshops with Stakeholders from Aiud Municipality and the Central Region.
During the period of January - June 2023, Transparency International Romania organized 3 workshops with the objective of consulting stakeholders from Aiud Municipality and the Central Development Region regarding a collaboration mechanism between local civil society and local public administration, a mechanism developed within the project.
The workshops took place on 30 January 2023, 27 February 2023, and 16 June 2023, and brought together representatives of local public administration, namely the Aiud Municipality, NGOs from the Municipality and the Central Region, and social partners for discussions.
The main conclusions of the workshops were that such a mechanism is more than necessary in the project implementation area and that the tool is useful for both civil society and public institutions. Moreover, the feedback from participants on the presented documents was positive, and their additions help in developing a realistic and functional mechanism.
The Romanian Association for Transparency | Transparency International Romania is implementing the project "Sustainable Local Development through Dialogue and Commitment" during August 2022 - September 2023, SIPOCA 947/MySMIS 151484.
The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of at least 40 non-governmental organizations and social partners to get involved in formulating and promoting local development through the development and implementation of mechanisms and procedures for interaction with local public authorities, as well as through specialized training and networking.
At the end of the "Sustainable Local Development through Dialogue and Commitment" project, the following results are expected:
- A local consultation mechanism called the Consultative Group for Local Development (CDL) developed within the project and implemented in partnership with the Aiud Municipality.
- Minimum 80 representatives of NGOs and social partners certified at the end of the training sessions.
- Two procedures for NGOs' interaction with local public authorities, developed.
- A guide as an instrument for monitoring and independently evaluating policies and strategies at the local level.
Total project value: 424,197.11 lei, of which 415,713.18 lei are total non-reimbursable funds.
